Mini Mites

Ages 3 to 5 years

Mini Mites is an encouraging winter program with a focus to teach your child to enjoy the sport of skiing in a safe, fun and educational environment. Instructors are chosen for their desire to work with young children to ensure your child is well on the way to a season full of fun and learning.

Information

Maximum outside ski time is a priority and we strive to take each child outdoors for as long as is appropriate every day of the program. On-snow activities and duration will be determined by the needs of all children in the group as well as prevailing weather conditions. Indoor facilities will be provided in the new Adventure Kids Centre in the upper level of the Perisher Centre.

For those who are joining Mini Mites for the first time, we would like to invite you to our Information Day:

Where: Adventure Kids Centre, upper level Perisher Centre

When: Sunday 21 June, 2:00pm to 3:00pm

Program Cost: After 26 May: $TBC | Early Sign-up: $TBC

Duration: 10 Sundays - 28 June; 5, 12, 19, 26 July; 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 August; 6 September – final race day.

*Note: One make up day included in the dates listed

Inclusions: Ski tuition, lunch and refreshments, ski and boot hire, 10 x 1 Day Lift Ticket, Fun Race with presentation on final day.

Equipment Hire: Rental equipment can be collected from the Perisher Valley Snowsports Hire outlet prior to program commencement. Please be advised that due to space restrictions, no equipment storage is available overnight.

Program levels:

  • First Timer – never skied before
  • Level 2 – skied before and can stop unassisted
  • Level 3 – can ride the lift and turn both directions
  • Level 4 – confident and ski the mountain

What to bring:

  • An approved snowsports helmet
  • Warm headware, goggles or sunglasses
  • Waterproof gloves or mittens
  • Skis and ski boots (no poles required)
  • Ski suit or jacket and pants, spare socks and underwear
