Development Teams
All Development Teams provide a safe and fun learning environment for children to improve and be challenged while exploring the whole mountain.
The daily schedule is based on 5.5 hours per day including up to 5 hours on-snow and teams will meet at 9.30 am at Blue Cow on each Program Sunday. Packed lunches can be brought to and kept at the Blue Cow Kid’s Lunchroom for the day. Parents wishing to drop off and pick up children from the Blue Cow meeting place are able to access the Skitube free of charge from Perisher to Blue Cow and return during program days only. Development Team programs are not learn to ski/board programs so minimum ability levels will apply.

Alpine Development Team
Ages 9 to 17 years (for younger children please refer to Junior Development Team)
The emphasis is on refining fundamental skills to develop well-rounded skiers capable of skiing the whole mountain. This team is an introductory program to alpine competition skiing where children can experience racing in a fun, age appropriate environment.
Freeride/Mogul Development Team
Ages 9 to 17 years (for younger children please refer to Junior Development Team)
This program isn't just about learning tricks but about developing skills to enjoy all that the mountain has to offer. It is an introductory program to freeride and freestyle skiing in which participants will spend their time between moguls, halfpipe and the beginner/intermediate terrain parks.
Board Development Team
Ages 8 to 17 years
The Board Development Team is for younger riders who want to develop fundamental boarding skills including halfpipe, terrain park and racing in a safe and fun environment.
Training time will be spent freeriding, looking for powder, tree runs and steeps, as well as cruising the groomed runs, all while gaining important mileage to refine skills.
Junior Development Team
Ages 5 to 8 years
The Junior Development Team is the next step up from the Snowsports School Mini Mites program. The focus is on improving basic skills, such as correct stance and turn shape, to develop strong parallel skiing in a fun and safe environment. Choose between purchasing the program only or include lunch for the program duration (instalment payment plan not applicable). For children under 5 years of age, please contact our office for alternative programs.
