Filming Checklist
The following check list needs to be completed FOR ALL SHOOTS before approval by Perisher Blue to film will be granted:
- Dates are confirmed (preferably 2 weeks notice given) in writing prior to the activity, signed by PB Marketing.
- National Parks has given approval. Contact Steve Redden- phone: 02 6450 5522. PB Marketing must receive receipt of this approval.
- A list of the number of people to be on site.
- The photography shoot / media activity does not impinge on our resort operations or our customers enjoying our resort.
- A copy of a Certificate of Currency for Public Liability Insurance to the value of $20 million must be received prior to the activity.
- That a representative of the visiting party signs in at Perisher Blue Marketing offices on behalf of all in the party.
- That a representative of the visiting party if issued with and makes themselves and others in the party familiar with the contents of Perisher Blue's Visitor and Contractor Safety Information Handbook.
- Any visiting talent/models must sign a waiver, supplied by Perisher Blue Marketing.
- If any guest is in a photograph, they must give permission and in a case where commercial gain is made from the shoot, they sign a waiver, supplied by Perisher Blue Marketing.
- A shoot fee and other charges for commercial shoots is paid prior.
- Requests for Perisher Blue staff or machinery must be given written approval & charges applied.
- Interviewing or filming of staff is not permitted, unless the PR & Business Development Manager or General Manager of Marketing & Hospitality grants prior approval.
- Film shoot location/s and access to areas of the resort must have prior approval by all Area Managers. Prior notice must be given to the Managers by PR &/or GM. Entry into areas without prior approval could result in expulsion from the resort. This includes but not limited to the Perisher Valley Hotel, retail outlets, Snowsports School, Jax Bar, Basil's and on mountain areas.
- A list of all vehicles and equipment that will be used. Vehicles do not interfere with guest parking; there is no overnight parking in the resort, unless prior approval given.
- Perisher Blue is given a photo credit.
- Perisher Blue may request a copy of footage and the visiting production will supply to Perisher Blue without charge.
Additionally For Larger Commercial Shoots
- A site map with an outline of the intended footprint (i.e. temporary structures, food service areas, filming areas). The perimeter of the site must be delineated while filming.
- A transportation plan outlining routes to be travelled and parking plans.
- A plan for the managing of waste including wildlife-proof containers, evening storage, waste reduction and recycling efforts to be undertaken.
- Methods that will be used to protect ground cover and trees.
- A list of any hazardous materials that may be on site and how they will be handled and disposed of.
- Material Safety Data Sheets for any substances that may be used on the mountains (i.e. artificial snow).
- A fire protection plan.
- A schedule for post-film clean up.
