Perisher Blue is a film-friendly resort and hosts many film shoots each season, large and small. Recognising the value of commercial exposure, we support productions that meet our filming requirements.

Perisher Blue offers visually stunning, spectacular mountain scenery. Located in the Kosciuszko National Park, Perisher Blue has seven mountain peaks and four distinct resort areas with 1245 hectares of terrain. The resort has a variety of unique shot sites and features that suit many types of filming needs.
In most cases a location fee will apply. Our fees are based on the size of the shoot, the number of days of actual filming and involvement of resort staff and resources.
An itemised list of fees (staff, transport and equipment) can be supplied by the Marketing Department.
We do require insurance and all mountain access paperwork is handled through our Marketing office.
In most cases it is a requirement that we provide an experienced mountain liaison to assist on commercial productions.
Our liaison acts as a mountain guide, while also protecting Perisher Blue's environmental interests and providing first-hand feedback on working in the resort.

We require that a Perisher Blue Mountain Liaison Guide be used on most productions.
The primary role of the Mountain Liaison Guide is ensuring all film and commercial production and outside agencies co-exist with the daily operations of Perisher Blue. Plus, ensuring that all activities engaged, will have a zero environmental impact on the mountain.
The MLG is also responsible for the safety of the film crew and public as well as the daily planning of filming activities. The MLG also ensures effective communication between the film crew and all necessary departments at Perisher Blue.
Perisher Blue has a very limited number of beds available on-snow, with more available in Jindabyne. Accommodation advice can be obtained from the Marketing office, or bookings can be done through Perisher Blue Snow Holidays: phone- 1300 655 811.
Lift costs are included in the location fee during regular scheduled openings.
Lift access outside scheduled openings will incur additional costs.
On-mountain transportation advice and costs is available through Perisher Blue Marketing in consultation with the Mountain Operations Department.
No unauthorised vehicles are permitted on the mountain. Only authorised personnel (Perisher Blue staff) are allowed to operate vehicles at Perisher Blue.
All electrical needs above standard Australian 240v supply are subject to approval by the Mountain Operations and Electrical Department. Additional fees will apply to power requirement over the standard supply.
Perisher Blue requires a minimum of $20,000,000 Comprehensive General Public Liability Insurance for all film productions.
Photography shoots require a minimum of $10,000,000 Comprehensive General Liability insurance. With Perisher Blue Pty Limited and the National Parks and Wildlife Service named.
Perisher Blue must receive confirmation of insurance prior to filming or shooting.
Full payment is required before a production can begin.
Perisher Blue requires a damage deposit for each production. The amount is determined by the size of the production and must be received prior to the commencement of production.
Payment for additional charges accumulated during production must be received or the amount will be deducted from the damage deposit.
Perisher Blue requires that permission from NPWS be granted, adhering to their environmental guidelines, prior to approval being granted by Perisher Blue.
Essentially, the production company shall not destroy, cut, remove, relocate or drive over any tree, shrub, flower, moss, grass area, footpath or natural object without prior approval from NPWS.
Filming may take place near, but not in, areas that are environmentally sensitive with approval from NPWS and Perisher Blue.
